Free meeting minutes generator

Give your meeting text a useful structure. Create a minutes draft from source passages, then check the decisions and action candidates before you share it.

No sign-up · No input upload · English-first rules, not an AI model · Up to 40,000 characters

The text workspace is isolated from the surrounding site and blocks network access. Source text is not included in our tool usage events. How the tool works

A useful first draft.
A deliberate review.

This tool arranges source text using local rules. It makes no AI service calls, cannot understand the whole conversation, and never sends an email or assigns a task.

Paste the source record

Use notes or an existing text transcript, ideally with one speaker turn per line. Add a meeting title that you are comfortable including in the output. This tool does not record audio, accept audio files, or fetch a meeting URL.

Inspect the proposed sections

The tool selects discussion excerpts and finds explicit decision and action phrases. Question-marked passages are shown as questions mentioned, not assumed to be unresolved. Check the source because a later reply may answer them.

Finish the official record yourself

Confirm attendance and date, review the source passages, and edit the draft. Formal minutes may require specific approvals or governance rules; this formatter cannot certify that a meeting record is complete or approved.

Know the limits

  • Heuristics can miss decisions or retain statements that were later corrected.
  • Meeting date and attendance are left for you to verify; a speaker label is not an attendance register.
  • The draft preserves source wording instead of producing an AI-written narrative.
  • Supports up to 40,000 characters. Very long speaker turns should be split into shorter lines for a more useful excerpt selection.

See the input
and the real output.

Fictional sample dialogue, processed by the same rules as the live tool. The result is a review draft, not an approved meeting record.

Sample input

Morgan: We need to choose the next onboarding experiment.
Alex: The invitation flow has three steps, and people often ask what the roles mean.
Morgan: We agreed to keep the role descriptions visible in the next prototype.
Alex: I will prepare the prototype by Wednesday.
Sam: I might be able to recruit participants if customer success has capacity.
Morgan: How will we measure comprehension?
Alex: We can ask participants to explain the role before they send the invitation.

A few useful answers.

Practical details before you use this resource.

Is this an AI generator?

No. This free tool uses English-first text rules to select and arrange source passages. It does not understand the conversation or rewrite it with a language model. For AI-assisted interpretation, download the matching Skill and run it inside Prismical with an account and an available model.

Where does my pasted text go?

The formatter runs inside a sandboxed browser frame with network connections blocked. It does not upload your input, store it in browser storage, or include it in analytics. The surrounding website can still load normal site analytics. Clear or reload the tool to discard its current text.

Can I use this for board minutes?

Use it only as a drafting aid. You must check the applicable format, approval process, attendance, motions, and voting record yourself. The tool does not infer votes or certify an official record.
