Keyboard Shortcuts
Every keyboard shortcut in Prismical, and how to set your own.
Keyboard shortcuts live in Settings → Shortcuts on the desktop app. This page lists what's built in and how to add your own.

Shortcuts are written for macOS below. On Windows, use Ctrl wherever you see ⌘.
Built-In
| Shortcut | Does |
|---|---|
| ⌘ N | New note |
| ⌘ K | Search notes and open the command palette |
| ⌘ [ | Toggle the sidebar |
| ⌘ D | Star or unstar the current note |
| ⌘ ⌫ | Move the current note to trash |
⌘ K is the one worth learning first — it searches your notes and jumps to
folders, tags, and settings from one box. See
Search & the command palette.
Your Own Shortcuts
You can bind a shortcut to actions you do often — running a particular skill, copying a transcript, and more. On the Shortcuts screen, add one, pick the action, and press the keys you want.
A couple of examples of what a custom shortcut can drive:
| Shortcut | Does |
|---|---|
| ⌘ ⇧ M | Run a skill on the current note |
| ⌘ ⇧ T | Copy the transcript to the clipboard |
Pick key combinations that aren't already taken — Prismical will tell you if one clashes with a built-in.
